One day at FIO fair and Monfragüe natural park

The Friday, 26 of February we live a different experience. We arrived Villareal de San Carlos at first hour of the morning, we were going people from Tourism and double degree Tourism and Ade, at the first we went to visit the fair, where a 6 person group were attending our university stand. Other people made a tour of the park followed by our guide. We visited places like Peñafalcons, la Tajadilla, la Bascula and la Higuerilla.

The group.

At the first, we’ll speak of the international fair ornithological there were different stands some of them were carrying information about other natural Spanish parks and another from display units, and finally our stand about information of diferents degrees on our university. One of our group mate were attending it and he told us that it was a great experience , first because he was like working and secondly because he had learned a lot of things of this fantastic world (ornithology).

Our stand.

As soon as our guide arrived, we took our coach to start our visit and the park, we went to El salto del Gitano where we saw different birds like Griffon vultures, a Spanish Imperial Eagle flying over us and a pair of black stork all of them in front of us with a river behind the rocky and our position. Here our guide gave us binoculars that helped us to see the birds very close. Later we went to the Tajadilla, we had lunch and there was waiting us like if we paid him a magnific Egyptian vulture on the top rock, and while we as eating a little azure-winged magpies came to us attracted by our food.
Here we saw also a lot of black vultures going out of the trees at the same moment but well we had a good lunch without seeing a lot of birds.

The azure-winged magpies and El salto del gitano.

After eating we visit la Bascula viewpoint,on this visit Jesus and Jaime, our guide,we were explaining that this viewpoint was not so important as other one. Jaime explain to us that there we could observing the black vulture and with luck the imperial eagle. In this viewpoint it was where we could observe fewer species,as the black vulture what we had seen previously, but it was equally interesting to see another new place.

The bascula viewpoint.

Finally we went to La higuerilla over the Tietar river, It was a great viewpoint where we saw a little blue rock thrush and black storms , It was like a little ‘salto del gitano’ but here we talked with some people from Andalucia ( a good autonomous community to see birds in wildlife) and it was really interesting how they tolked about his experience in our park, he said that it was fantastic to see birds a few meters to us so easy. Listening it you go home knowing the jewel you got in your community never thought before.

  2. Not bad, Ibicencos. However, some parts are difficult to read because of inaccuracies both in grammar and lexis. It is a pity the conceptual map can't be read. I think, anyway that six intelligent people like you can do much better, or can't you? Overall mark: 6.
